This years WES2013 conference is the fourth international event in the Koli national park offering a practical approach to forest energy, district energy and bioeconomy solutions.

Koli - The venue and location

The conference venue is in Visitor Centre Ukko in Koli. In Visitor Centre Ukko you can familiarize yourself with the information of Koli’s heritage landscape and Eastern Finland’s wooded hills and culture in the exhibition space.

Koli is located 510 km North from Helsinki, the Capital of Finland. Nearest bigger town Joensuu, is 70 km South from Koli. Koli offers an opportunity to try many different winter sports on fresh air like downhill skiing, snowboarding and walking with snowshoes.
